GOLF COURSE:

General’s Retreat, built in 1986 with architect Gary Roger Baird, hosted the LPGA Sara Lee Classic from 1988 to 1999. Having been voted the “Best Golf Course in Nashville,” General’s Retreat is a “must play” when visiting the Nashville, Tennessee area.

With the beautiful setting along the Cumberland River and a variety of tee placements, golfers of all capabilities will thoroughly enjoy the golf, scenery and hospitality offered at the Hermitage Golf Course.

DETAILS:

Enjoy a fun day of golf with fellow Bitcoiners from around the world.  This is the best way to kick off one of the most amazing weeks in Bitcoin.  Compete for trophies, prizes, and bragging rights.  Fun format with “special holes” heavily influenced by Bitcoin Fundamentals.  Tournament will be a shotgun start with 2 teams in each foursome.  Sign up as a team or as an individual and allow us to pair you up.

The Entry fee will be used to pay for your round of golf, gift bag (with lots of cool Bitcoin Shag), food, 2 drink tickets, trophies and more.  All remaining funds will be donated to Open-Source Bitcoin projects.  “Helping create a better tomorrow today,” through OpenSats.org

 

REGULAR ENTRY:

                   Entry is $175 per person ($350 per team)

                   Entry preferred to be paid in Bitcoin

TOURNAMENT FORMAT:

                          2-person scramble
                          Shotgun Start
                          18-Holes
                          144 players Max (72 teams)
                           Low team score wins the Block (Championship)
                           Top 3 teams win trophies
                           Chance for additional prices and bragging rights

SPECIAL HOLES:

                Proof of work:     

                         Long Drive (Must be in Fairway)

                 Lightning Hole:

                          Closest to the Pin (Additional Hole-in One Reward)

                 Difficulty Adjustment: 

                           Two(2) holes (1 per side).  Each player can only choose 2 clubs and putters count as 1 club on these holes.  (Choose your strengths and trust your partner)

                   4 yr Halving Cycle (4,8,12,16):

                           Every 4 holes each Player must play his/her own ball on these holes.  Players will then add their combined scores together.  Then, Divide by 2. Round up to the nearest whole number.
